Hull based Hairdressing Academy
Pride Academy is a City & Guilds approved hairdressing training academy. The academy is owned and managed by a qualified hairdresser, lecturer/assessor with many years of educational experience at various establishments. Pride Hairdressing Academy offers training on a smaller more exclusive and intimate basis (class sizes approx 5-8). This ensures each student achieves their maximum potential as tuition can be given on a more personal/individual basis. It also allows students to gain further/in-depth development in areas requiring more expertise – Experience which today’s employers expect. As well as learning techniques and skills to gain an NVQ level 2 and/or level 3 qualification we teach much more than just passing exams. As Pride Hairdressing Academy is run from a real working salon it enables students to gain additional skills and develop confidence on the shop floor so they are industry ready and competent, sooner.
On their City & Guilds NVQ program Apprentices learn by experience in their salon and one day (day release) at Pride hairdressing Academy. At Pride Academy, students benefit from theory, practical and key skills lessons. These include practical demonstrations, guest speakers/presenters, assignments, assessments, on-line testing, activities, one-to-one tuition, individual learning plans, regular reviews and individual targeting etc and much more!

Pride Hairdressing Academy is run within a Hull city town centre salon (The salons is closed to the public during training days – but open to models). The academy is in easy reach from the city and surrounding area. There are good bus routes, train services or ample car parking within the centre.
